Job Summary

Fair Oaks Capital is a leading independent investment manager specializing in corporate credit, as well as CLO debt and CLO equity investments. Fair Oaks manages  c.$4 billion across product offerings including private and listed funds, separately managed accounts and UCITS funds.

This is a superb opportunity for a finance analyst with 1-2 years’ experience at a buy or sell-side firm to join our Investment Team. You will work alongside Portfolio Managers and senior analysts assisting with the day-to-day management of our third-party CLO tranche portfolios. While experience analysing and/or structuring CLOs is a positive we will also consider candidates with broader finance or markets experience. The role will be based in London.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

Working alongside experienced portfolio managers, your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Use Intex and Excel-based tools to model new CLO investment opportunities and existing positions
  • Model reset and refinancing transactions to determine IRR impact of different pricing, duration, and call option assumptions
  • Maintain a pipeline of potential investment opportunities

 

Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • 1-2 years’ buy or sell-side experience modelling and/or analyzing investments
  • Familiarity with CLOs and related tools (e.g. Intex) is a positive however not a prerequisite for this role
  • Strong financial modelling skills including proficiency in using Excel
  • Self-motivated and proactive with an ability to work in a team or independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the effective use of PowerPoint
  • Strong academic background
  • Obsessive attention to detail
  • Highly organized
